Tide for a Cure: Wild West Edition is an action-packed, western-themed fundraising event supporting The B+ Foundation and families battling childhood cancer. From Minute-to-Win-It games and line dancing to yard games, talent performances, and a final fundraising reveal, the event brings our community together for an afternoon of high energy, heartfelt stories, and one powerful goal: making a difference.

DKMS Bone Marrow Drive (Student Center)

Location Outside Student Center, Outside Fresh Foods

We will be tabling for people to sign up to become a part of the National Bone Marrow Registry. The process will involve students filling out and signing a registration form with information about themselves. They will then use a mouth swab that will be sealed in a small envelope to be used for DNA matching. These envelopes will be shipped to DKMS, a national organization that raises awareness for the bone marrow registry. We will also hand out free DKMS souvenirs to those who sign up.

Stadium Block Seating Stickers Removal

We will be entering the stadium at 10AM on Tuesday, March 3rd to remove the remaining stickers out of the student section.

Safe Spring Break Health Fair 2026

Students will learn about the various health and wellness services offered on campus and within the Tuscaloosa community with a focus on tips and resources for being safe and healthy during your Spring Break! Exhibitors will also share health services and specials for the spring and summer in the Tuscaloosa community.

Take Charge Against Cancer – HPV Trivia Night

This event is a HPV awareness trivia night put on by the Take Charge Against Cancer Team. It will occur in the Camellia Room in Gorgas Library from 6-7:30 PM on Thursday, March 12. Questions will incorporate knowledge about HPV, the vaccine, and ways to make an impact in the fight to wipe out HPV, cervical cancer, and all other HPV related cancers. Snacks will be provided along with prizes for the winners.

Join the Department of Health Promotion & Wellness for Tech-Free Thursdays during the Spring 2026 semester. Once a month in the UA Student Center, unplug from your screens and recharge with a wellness break designed just for you. Drop in to relax, create, and reset—whether that means writing a gratitude card, journaling, coloring, reading, or simply taking a quiet moment for yourself. We’ll have games, cards, puzzles, and coloring available, plus a signature creative activity each month like watercolor painting, bookmark making, button design, or bracelet crafting.

Walk 4 Water

A short walk to raise awareness of the average 4-mile walk that women and children around the world must make to the closest water source. All funds raised by the walk will go directly toward the construction of water wells in underserved areas.
