Black Student Union and UA Student Government Association Host the Annual Toy Ball

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — The University of Alabama Student Government Association (SGA)
and Black Student Union (BSU) hosted the 2024 annual Toy Ball on Tuesday, November 19, 2024. Held at The Capstone Hotel, the event was overwhelmingly successful, bringing together students, faculty, staff, and community members to celebrate the season of giving while supporting local children in need.

This year’s Toy Ball, through generous contributions, collected over 600 toys. The contributions
will directly benefit local schools and organizations like the Girls and Boys Club of West
Alabama, ensuring that children across the Tuscaloosa area experience the joy of the holiday
    season.

“The Holiday Toy Ball exemplifies the best of the UA community — our commitment to
service, unity, and making a meaningful impact,” said Aubrei Grisaffe, Vice President for
Belonging and Wellness. “We are so grateful to everyone who contributed to the night, helping
to brighten the lives of so many children in the community.”

The SGA expresses their thanks to all the donors and sponsors who made this event possible.
Through this community effort and partnership, they make this a special holdiay season for the
    children of the Tuscaloosa community.
