Student Organization Seating

We are excited to announce the Student Organization Seating (SOS) Map for the 2025 Football season! We are proud to say that every Source-registered organization that opted in received a block following our application process, which included GPAs, Tide Loyalty Points, Bama Pulse service hours, Capstone Wellness Explorer Points (CWE), a written application, and an interview. This year, there will be 3 permanent rotating blocks, in addition to temporary blocks if an organization loses their privileges.

Please note that this student organization seating map is subject to change throughout the season based on each organization’s standing with the Office of Student Conduct.

General Rules

As it is stated in the Student Code of Conduct, “The University has a vital interest in the character of its students and, therefore, regards behavior at any location (on-campus or off-campus) as a reflection of a student’s character and fitness to be a member of the student body.” The University of Alabama reserves the right to enforce Student Conduct expectations at any university related event. With this in mind, these are the basic rules and regulations for Student Organization Seating.

• Student Organization Seating Blocks are reserved for organizations until an hour before kickoff.
• Only students with seating wristbands will be allowed into the organized seating section until an hour before kickoff. After the game clock hits 59:59 until kickoff, individuals may move freely in and out of the section, regardless of whether or not they have a wristband.
• Organizations are expected to remain in their sections until the completion of the game.
• Throwing objects into other areas of the block seating section and using offensive language both negatively affect the UA gameday experience. We expect students to abide by the Capstone Creed while sitting in Student Organizational Seating.

Any complaints concerning Student Organization Seating shall be conveyed using the Student Organization Seating Complaint form.

Sober Monitor Expectations

• Maintain Alertness and Responsibility
• Stay sober and fully attentive throughout gameday to effectively monitor your student organization’s designated area.
• Ensure that members of your student organization comply with the Block Seating General Rules, Gameday Expectations, and Code of Conduct.
• Communicate Clearly and Calmly; Report Incidents Promptly
• Engage respectfully and calmly with Game Day Partners, UAPD, event staff, and security. Follow the principle of “See something, say something” by promptly and accurately reporting any incidents or violations to supervisors or event coordinators.

Using SGA Capstone Wellness Explorer for Block Seating Applications?

1. The SGA Capstone Wellness Explorer (CWE) will account for 11% of your block seating application. Points needed are calculated as the number of seats you plan on applying for multiplied by 1.125 = the number of points needed to receive the full 11% on the block seating application
2. Reports from SGA will be provided at the completion of the fall semester and can be provided upon request
3. Any student organization requiring individual members to receive more than 3 CWE points per person may be subject to losing percentage points from their total block seating points application at the discretion of the Belonging and Wellness Senate Committee.
