Aubrei Grisaffe

Aubrei Grisaffe is a senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma majoring in Political Science and working toward her Master of Public Administration through the Accelerated Masters Program (AMP). Throughout her time serving SGA, most recently as the Vice President for Belonging and Wellness, she has been challenged to seek out creative and effective ways to embody SGA’s motto of being “Students Serving Students.” Through her experiences collaborating with student leaders and UA Administrators, she has developed cross-campus relationships, and her passion for student service has grown immensely. In each of the positions she has held in SGA, she has become familiar with the internal processes which help our SGA find success, but also highly aware of the broader campus community—understandings which will support her as she oversees various aspects of student life and ensures the smooth operation of the Student Government Association’s First Year Council, Senate, and Executive Branch. Outside of her SGA endeavors, Aubrei is an active member in Shelby Scholars, the Crossing Points Program, and a variety of different organizations and honors societies. Aubrei looks forward to working alongside the 114th Administration to make a positive impact for each student at the Capstone.

John Michael Chandash

John Michael is a Junior from Birmingham, Alabama majoring in Political Science and German with a minor in International Business on the Pre-Law track. Before serving as Vice President for Student Affairs, John Michael began his involvement at the Capstone through the First Year Council. In February of 2024, he was elected as a Senator for the College of Arts and Sciences. During his time representing the College of Arts and Sciences, he was elected as the Student Affairs Committee head, where he created and oversaw legislation that impacted student life at UA. Outside of SGA, John Michael is involved in Greek Ambassadors, Shelby Scholars, Campus Outreach, and is an active member of Sigma Phi Epsilon. During his tenure as Vice President for Student Affairs, John Michael plans to positively impact the student experience at UA through philanthropy and purposeful programming. His main goals for the year are to expand past SGA initiatives, provide means for students to achieve more, and connect students to SGA. John Michael is excited to continue serving his fellow students and ensuring their success.

Samantha Simmons
Vice President for Academic Affairs

Samantha is a junior from Hartselle, Alabama, majoring in political science and minoring in communications. She is currently working towards earning an accelerated Masters Degree in Public Administration. She began her work in SGA as a First-Year Councilor and later helped manage SGA’s Academic Affairs Cabinet during her sophomore year. Now, she serves as SGA’s Vice President for Academic Affairs. Outside of SGA, Samantha is an active member of the Blackburn Institute, Shelby Institute, and the University’s Advisory Council on Wellness. She is passionate about providing her peers with opportunities to enhance their success in college. Her door and email inbox are always open for questions and suggestions!

Conner Forbes

Conner Forbes is a senior from Huntsville, Alabama. He is currently pursuing a double major in finance and economics with a minor in value investing. Over Conner’s time on campus he has been involved in and led many organizations while still maintaining academic excellence. In his role now, he currently leads the Financial Affairs Committee and helps process all monetary requests from student organizations for funding on campus. Furthermore, he assists with many initiatives and handles the SGA’s budget. His role prior to this was serving the student body as a senator for the Culverhouse College of Business. Finally, Conner has been recognized for his achievements and been selected to join many honor societies and is also a member of the Fraternity Delta Tau Delta. He looks forward to what he can accomplish in his final year!

Fred Nelson

From Birmingham, Alabama, Freddie Nelson is a junior majoring in Biology with a minor in Italian on the Pre-Physical Therapy track. With a longstanding passion for strong leadership and meaningful companionship, Freddie has committed to serving the student-body by involving himself in Student Government at the Capstone. As a freshman, Freddie began his SGA career by joining the Engagement Committee, where he was given several opportunities to work with SGA and make notable change. Later, he was elected to the SGA Arts & Sciences Senate, authoring and passing several pieces of legislation to better UA’s campus. Now, as a part of the 114th Administration, he proudly serves as Vice-President for External Affairs. From running on a platform to advance SGA’s relationship with not only the Tuscaloosa-community but also with the Capstone as a whole, Freddie’s plans have already initiated into action. Moreover, he is ambitious to contribute to his own peers in SGA’s success by tightly working with the 114th Administration and offering a listening ear to all. Outside of SGA, Freddie enjoys working out and running, spending time with friends and family, being near any body of water, and listening to good music. As Vice-President for External Affairs, Freddie is excited to represent the University of Alabama and offers his full support and help to all students at the Capstone.

Halle Harman

Halle Harman is a senior from Tulsa, Oklahoma, majoring in Public Relations with a minor in Sales. Her SGA journey began with First Year Council, and she is now in her fourth year of involvement. As a sophomore, she took on the role of Director of Communications for the Executive Vice President’s cabinet and continued in that role during her junior year on the 113th Administration’s Executive Cabinet. Outside of SGA, Halle serves as President of Phi Mu Alpha Zeta. She is especially honored to be the first ever Vice President of Communications and is excited to lay a strong foundation for the position. At a university where legends are made, Halle is committed to serving students, so stop by and say hi sometime. She would love to meet you!

Hannah Hurd

Hannah Hurd is a senior from Tampa, Florida, majoring in Biology with a minor in Social Innovation & Leadership. Her journey with the Student Government Association began in the Judicial Branch, where she served as an Associate Justice for two years. Outside of SGA, Hannah serves as an Ambassador for the Honors College and works as a Laboratory Research Assistant in the Department of Biological Sciences. She is also a proud member of the 16th cohort of the Dr. Robert E. Witt University Fellows Program and has served on the Executive Council of her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta. Hannah is passionate about equipping students with the tools and support they need to thrive at the Capstone. She prioritizes holistic well-being and is committed to fostering a campus environment where every student feels a strong sense of belonging and opportunity for growth. She is excited to continue building on the legacy of this position and to implement policies that support the success and development of all students. Charlie Beth Pruett

Charlie Beth Pruett is a senior from Jasper, Alabama, double majoring in Operations Management and Real Estate with a minor in Supply Chain Management. She previously served the Student Government Association as Deputy Chief of Staff for the 113th Administration and held multiple roles within Lobby Board. Outside of SGA, Charlie Beth serves as President of the Culverhouse Ambassadors and Treasurer of The XXXI, and is actively involved in several honor societies across campus. She is excited to support meaningful initiatives through the 114th Administration and is honored to contribute to SGA’s legacy of “Students Serving Students.”
