These are the candidates for the College of Human and Environmental Sciences Senate Seats in the Spring 2025 SGA General Election.
Hannon Bulger
Hi UA! My name is Hannon Bulger, and I am running for re-election to serve as one of your College of Human Environmental Sciences Senators. Throughout my time at the Capstone, I’ve been involved with SGA in many different ways, from serving as the Secretary of the First Year Council my freshman year to currently serving as the External Affairs Committee head for the Senate. Through it all, my passion for helping students through the legislative route has only grown, and I’m hoping to continue this work in the next year. From authoring legislation encouraging the use of biodegradable confetti on campus, to installing more bike racks where students saw fit, my work is centered around four points that I hope to continue with in the next year: Campus, Community, Celebration, and Connection. I’m excited by the prospect of serving students another year in the Senate, and remember to go #AllinonHannon!

Gabrielle Dickerson
My name is Gabrielle Dickerson I am a Junior from Memphis, Tennessee, majoring in Public Health and double minoring in Addiction & Recovery and Public Policy here at The Capstone. I am actively involved in research, ENGAGE Tuscaloosa, Cardinal Key, Eta Sigma Gamma, and the Division of Student Life. Through these experiences, I have developed an understanding of student needs and a passion for advocacy. I am excited to be running for Senate for the College of Human Environmental Sciences and create a meaningful change on our campus. I want to be a voice for students and work toward solutions that enhance student life, academic opportunities, and overall campus experience. As Senator I want to expand access to tutoring, career services, and health and wellness resources to support student success. In addition, I want to ensure that student concerns are addressed through open communication between SGA and the student body. Together, we can Go Forward with Gabrielle and make a difference. I would be honored to have your vote on Election Day!

Bree McLean
Hey everyone! I’m Bree McLean from Marietta, GA, and I’m excited to announce that I’m running for SGA Senate. Choosing to attend UA has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. The university has inspired me daily to reach my goals, and I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunities it’s provided. I’ve always had a passion for service, which led me to participate in events like Miracles on the Green. Giving back to this community that’s already given me so much has been an honor.
I’m deeply committed to making UA a place where every student feels heard, valued, and supported. My goal is to inspire positive change and ensure that everyone’s voice is represented. I want to reach as many people as possible, listen to their needs, and work tirelessly to create a thriving community for all.

My platform is built on three core values: partnership, inspiration, and culture. I believe growth happens when individuals collaborate, share ideas, and learn from each other. Through my campaign, I hope to inspire new ways of thinking, celebrate the diverse cultural backgrounds on campus, and foster partnerships that allow creativity to flourish. By working together, we can create an environment where everyone’s perspective is valued, leading to innovative solutions for the future.
Join me in building a community where collaboration is key, inspiration is endless, and culture is celebrated every day.
Aliya Resendez
Hello UA! My name is Aliya Resendez, and I am a sophomore from California! I am majoring in Public Health with aspirations of pursuing a career in the medical field. During my time at Alabama, I’ve been honored to serve in leadership roles within the Student Government Association and Zeta Tau Alpha, experiences that have deepened my passion for serving others.
I am running for Senator of the College of Human and Environmental Sciences because I believe in making tangible improvements for our students. My campaign, All In with Aliya, reflects my commitment to advocating for the needs of our diverse college community and ensuring every student feels supported.

My platform focuses on enhancing academic resources and creating inclusive opportunities. Key initiatives include: improving Rodgers Library by updating its seating, expanding study spaces, and soundproofing rooms; implementing “Library Loyalty” points to prioritize room bookings during peak times like finals; and securing personal advisors for pre-health students. I also aim to introduce a suggestion form to give students with underrepresented majors a voice within our college.
With your support, I will work tirelessly to turn these ideas into actionable change. Together, we can create a better experience for all students in our college. Let’s go All In with Aliya!
