Blue button is a training open to anyone on campus interested in providing peer support. Participants will receive an overview of local and on-campus mental health and crisis resources that are available to our students. Participants will receive a resource card to share with others and a button to identify that they have received training in peer support.

Talk Saves Lives is a standardized, peer led, suicide prevention and awareness program provided by The American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP). According to the AFSP, TSL “provides participants with a clear understanding of this leading cause of death, including the most up-to-date research on suicide prevention, and what they can do in their communities to save lives. Participants will learn common risk factors and warning signs associated with suicide, and how to keep themselves and others safe”.

American Heart Association Basic Life Support CCR Class x Medicine and Community

An American Heart Association Basic Life Support CPR Class sponsored by Medicine and Community. This class is for pre-health students looking for clinical jobs that require a CPR certification (most do!), recertification for CPR license holders, or anyone who wants to know what to do in a medical emergency such as cardiac arrest. CPR saves lives!
