TUSCALOOSA, AL – May 2026
The University of Alabama Student Government Association announces the launch of the 2026–2027 Spirit Committee, a new initiative led by Anna Beth Frazier, Vice President for Student Affairs, designed to elevate the student game‑day experience and expand student involvement with UA Athletics.
The Spirit Committee is a team of student leaders who will assist with student entry into the lower bowl student section, answer questions about seating and access, and support stadium operations during football season. Members will arrive three hours before kickoff, work directly with UA Athletics, and may attend the game as fans in the student section after students are seated. Applications for the 2026–2027 Spirit Committee are open now and close on June 28 at 11:59 PM CST.
Spirit Committee members will play a hands‑on role in ensuring a smooth and welcoming game‑day experience for the student body. Responsibilities include ushering students into the lower bowl, serving as the primary point of contact for seating and access questions, and helping uphold stadium procedures.
Members may choose to work Package A, Package B, or both, depending on their availability and preference. Once students are seated and the game begins, members may enjoy the game as fans without purchasing a ticket.
This is a paid student position, with members receiving a 4‑hour paycheck per game at a rate of $14 per hour.
“Members will work directly with UA Athletics to help usher students, answer questions, and enforce stadium policies during football season. This is a paid student position that also allows members to attend the game as a fan after kickoff without purchasing a ticket. We are so excitedfor this opportunity to have students be included in the hands‑on process of football season. Applications will close on June 28 at 11:59 PM CST, so keep an eye out for these opportunities”
